This collective bargaining agreement covers the geographical, operational, and personal scope of the framework collective bargaining agreement for commercial employees in the building cleaning industry.
After six months of employment, employees are entitled to additional holiday pay for holiday entitlements acquired from January 1, 2007. This amounts to 1.85 collective bargaining hourly wages per holiday day and is calculated based on the collective bargaining hourly wage of the respective pay grade applicable at the time of the holiday. Part-time employees receive additional holiday pay proportionally according to their agreed working hours. For apprentices, the additional holiday pay is calculated at 1/169 of the apprenticeship remuneration applicable at the start of the holiday. Payment is made together with the holiday pay in accordance with § 14 No. 2 of the framework collective bargaining agreement.
This collective bargaining agreement enters into force retroactively on January 1, 2007, and terminates without residual effect as soon as the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs declares the framework collective bargaining agreement to be generally binding or mandatorily applicable by statutory order. Irrespective of this, the collective bargaining agreement may be terminated with six months' notice, for the first time on December 31, 2009.
