Premiums in Building Cleaning: What You Need to Know

Premium Billing

The employer is obligated to provide employees with a detailed statement of total wages, hourly wages, allowances, and deductions with each payroll. Compensation for all types of premiums through an increased basic wage is not permitted. The statement must be provided by the 15th of the following month at the latest.

Premiums in Detail:

• Sunday Work in Building Cleaning
• Night Work in Building Cleaning
• Public Holiday Work in Building Cleaning
• Hardship Premiums & Overtime

Further:

1. Overtime, night work, Sunday work, and public holiday work that is absolutely necessary for operational reasons can be ordered by the employer.
2. Any further extension of working hours is only permissible in compliance with the relevant provisions of the Working Hours Act.

Points 1 & 2 do not apply to young people.
